About the role
Looking for an experienced ETL Developer with over 5 years of expertise in ETL tools and relational databases, along with proficiency in cloud-native databases, high-volume data ingestion, and programming in Python. The candidate should excel both as an individual contributor and as a collaborative team member, driving ETL best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Translating requirements into high level design for transformation
- Development of ETL pipelines based on the design
- Develop stored procedures if required to support the ETL pipeline
- Develop highly optimized queries to ingest data into relational database
- Develop external code using 4GL programming language including Linux shell scripts
- Support migration from on-premise to cloud native ETL solution
- Work within an Agile sprint team
Mandatory Skills
- ETL Tools IBM DataStage an asset
- Good knowledge of relational database
- Knowledge of public cloud
- Knowledge of real time streaming tools
- Knowledge of 4gl programing languages
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Computer Science or Engineering Degree.
- 5+ years experience as a ETL Developer using ETL tools
- 5+ years experience working with relational database
- 3+ years experience working with high volume data ingestion
- 3+ years experience working with Cloud native databases and ETL solutions
- Exposure to fourth generation programing language such as python
- Capable of working as an individual contributor and as part of an agile team member
- Motivated individual to drive ETL best practices
