Description
The Estimation Engineer (Supervisor) will oversee the estimation process for various projects, ensuring that all cost estimates are accurate and completed in a timely manner. This role requires collaboration with project managers and engineers to gather necessary project details and provide comprehensive cost analyses.
Responsibilities
- Lead the estimation process for various projects ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary project information and scope.
- Develop and maintain cost databases and estimation models.
- Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare detailed estimates.
- Perform risk analysis and identify potential cost-saving opportunities during the estimation phase.
- Prepare and present detailed cost estimates to stakeholders and management.
- Supervise and mentor junior estimation engineers and support their professional development.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in estimation engineering or related roles in construction or manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency in estimation software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and construction methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost estimates.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
