Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and project budgets for residential and commercial construction projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and coordination with design, site, and procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and scope of work
- Quantity take-off from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Prepare BOQs with item-wise rate analysis
- Conduct material quantity verification and cost comparison
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and site engineers
- Float enquiries and obtain quotations from suppliers & subcontractors
- Analyze vendor quotes and prepare comparative statements
- Assist in tender preparation and submission
- Monitor project cost variations and update budgets
- Support procurement planning and cost control activities
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering
- 35 years of experience in construction estimation
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and rate analysis
- Good understanding of construction materials and market rates
- Proficiency in MS Excel (mandatory)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred)
- Familiarity with Kerala PWD / CPWD standards (preferred)
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Good communication and coordination ability
