Job Description: Estimation Engineer
Job Summary-
The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. The role involves preparing BOQs, estimates, and related documents while ensuring timely and precise cost planning to support project execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Compute project costs by analyzing labor, material, equipment, and time requirements.
* Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, Sales Orders (SO), and Purchase Orders (PO).
* Read, interpret, and analyze WD and project specifications.
* Analyze and update material rates based on market trends and vendor quotations.
* Review and evaluate the costing accuracy of estimates to ensure budget compliance.
* Ensure timely preparation and submission of estimates as per project timelines.
* Coordinate with internal teams to provide clear cost breakdowns and clarifications.
* Provide comprehensive briefings to relevant departments and external stakeholders whenever required.
* Support project teams with cost-related inputs during execution phases.
Required Skills & Competencies
* Strong understanding of cost estimation and quantity surveying principles.
* Ability to read and interpret technical and working drawings
* Proficiency in BOQ preparation and rate analysis
* Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
* Good coordination and communication skills.
* Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple estimates simultaneously
