Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Estimator with a strong background in government infrastructure and large-scale commercial projects. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and billing for projects such as hospitals, data centers, schools, institutes, and warehouses.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications for government and commercial projects.
- Prepare rate analysis, cost comparisons, and budget estimates.
- Handle RA bills, final bills, and reconciliation statements.
- Coordinate with design, planning, procurement, and site teams to ensure cost control.
- Monitor project costs and assist in variation orders, claims, and deviations.
- Ensure compliance with government norms, specifications, and standard schedules of rates (SOR).
- Support tendering activities including pre-bid queries, bid submissions, and negotiations.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to quantities and costs.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of civil construction quantities and estimation.
- Experience with government projects and public sector tendering processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (preferred).
- Good understanding of commercial buildings such as hospitals, data centers, educational institutions, and warehouses.
- Ability to read and interpret GFC drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in quantity estimation and billing.
- Proven experience working on government and large commercial construction projects.
Preferred Attributes
- Exposure to PMC / EPC / contracting organizations.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and cost accuracy.
