Job Description
Estimation Engineer – Designation & Role
Designation: Estimation Engineer
Department: Estimation / Pre-Sales / Tendering
Reporting To: Estimation Manager / Head – Estimation / Project Head
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and quantity take-offs for civil and structural repair projects.
- Study drawings, specifications, tender documents and scope of work.
- Prepare material, labour, equipment and subcontractor cost estimates.
- Obtain and compare quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Prepare rate analysis and project-wise costing.
- Support the tendering team in preparing commercial bids and quotations.
- Coordinate with Site, Purchase, Projects and Design teams for technical and commercial inputs.
- Conduct site visits to understand actual site conditions and validate quantities.
- Maintain estimation records, cost databases and historical project rates.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project requirements.
- Assist in tender negotiations and client queries related to estimates.
- Ensure estimates are accurate and submitted within the required timelines.
Preferred Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Experience: 2–6 years in estimation, tendering or quantity surveying, preferably in civil/structural repair or construction.
