Job Description

ESG Analyst/Data Quality Specialist

(Sustainability Reporting)

About the Role

Measurabl's Data Quality Operations team is responsible for one of the most consequential functions in the commercial real estate sustainability space: ensuring that the utility data our customers depend on is accurate, complete, and trustworthy. Data quality is not only the hardest problem in utility data managementit is the primary reason customers choose Measurabl.

The Data Quality Specialist is an individual contributor at the center of this work. You will own the day-to-day operational cycle of monitoring, identifying, triaging, analyzing, resolving, and communicating data quality issues across our customer accounts. This role demands precision above speed: a task that is completed quickly but inaccurately is not a completed task. It requires a relentless curiosity about why issues occur, and the initiative to see every task through to full resolutionwithout being prompted, and without leaving loose ends.

This is an active, investigative role. You are expected to ask hard questions, surface patterns, and treat every anomaly as a signal worth understanding. Candidates who thrive here are energized by finding the root of a problem, not just clearing it from a queue.

This role is best suited to someone who is genuinely bothered by unexplained discrepancies, who finishes what they start, and who holds their own work to a higher standard than required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, identify, and resolve data quality issues within SLA.
  • Conduct rootcause analysis and document preventive solutions.
  • Maintain high accuracy in issue documentation and data validation.
  • Communicate updates clearly and proactively with internal stakeholders.
  • Identify recurring patterns and escalate systemic issues.
  • Contribute to process improvements and knowledgebase updates.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with International Projects.
  • 3+ years in data operations, data quality, or utility bill processing.
  • Strong skills in analyzing structured data and detecting anomalies.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; SQL preferred; basic Python a plus.
  • High attention to detail and strong problemsolving mindset.
  • Excellent written communication for nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with utility/energy/sustainability data.
  • Knowledge of ENERGY STAR, GRESB, or GHG Protocols.
  • Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Metabase, Power BI).
  • Experience in SaaS or dataplatform environments.
