Job Description
The Oracle EBS/Apps Technical Developer (APEX) will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting Oracle EBusiness Suite (EBS) applications and extensions using Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, and traditional EBS development frameworks. The role requires strong technical expertise to deliver highquality solutions in an Enterprise SaaS (ESaaS) managedservice model.
Responsibilities
- Technical Development (EBS + APEX)
Develop custom applications, dashboards, and extensions using Oracle APEX integrated with EBS.
Build And Enhance RICEW Components
Reports (BI/XML Publisher)
Interfaces (Inbound/Outbound)
Conversions
Extensions/Customizations
Workflows
Develop custom APIs and packaged procedures using PL/SQL.
Create EBS-integrated UI Components Using
Oracle APEX
Oracle Forms/Reports (if applicable)
OA Framework (nicetohave)
Design secure and scalable integrations between Oracle EBS and Oracle APEX.
Build REST/SOAP services and EBS APIs for consumption in APEX apps.
Ensure proper authentication, session management, and data security between systems.
- Solution Design & Documentation
Translate functional requirements into technical specifications (MD70).
Review functional designs (MD50) and provide effort estimates.
Prepare BR100, AIM/OUM documentation, and deployment scripts.
- Support & Issue Resolution
Provide Tier2/Tier3 technical support for EBS customizations and APEX apps.
Diagnose and resolve performance issues in APEX pages, PL/SQL, or EBS workflows.
Support ESaaS release cycles, patch impact analysis, and regression testing.
Participate in version control, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines (if applicable).
Prepare migration scripts and coordinate deployments to higher environments.
Qualifications
Core Technical Skills
Strong handson experience in Oracle EBS R12 Technical.
Expertise In
Oracle APEX (Application Express) development
PL/SQL, Functions, Packages, Triggers
Oracle Reports/Forms (optional but beneficial)
BI/XML Publisher
Oracle Workflow
Unix Shell Scripting (preferred)
EBS Modules Exposure
(Any of the following)
Finance (AP, AR, GL, FA)
SCM (PO, INV, OM)
CRM
HRMS (optional)
Integration Skills
Experience building REST/SOAP services.
Familiarity With
EBS public APIs
APEX REST data sources
Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) desirable
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Ability to work in global ESaaS delivery/managed-service models.
Excellent communication and teamwork.
