Job Description
The Oracle EBS Incentive Compensation Functional Consultant is responsible for providing functional expertise, configuration support, and endtoend solution delivery for the Oracle EBusiness Suite Incentive Compensation (IC) module within an ESaaS (Enterprise SaaS) environment. The role includes supporting compensation plan design, transaction crediting, earnings calculation, payout processing, and collaboration with business teams such as Sales Operations, Finance, and HR.
Responsibilities
- Functional Support & Troubleshooting
Provide daytoday L2/L3 support for Oracle EBS Incentive Compensation (IC).
Investigate And Resolve Issues Related To
Sales crediting errors
Earnings calculation discrepancies
Performance measures
Compensation plan processing
Payment batch failures
Collaborate with technical teams for data fixes or custom enhancements.
- Requirements Gathering & Solution Design
Work closely with Sales Ops, Finance, and business stakeholders to understand incentive plans and payout rules.
Document business requirements and translate them into functional designs.
Review BRD/MD50 documents and validate MD70 technical solutions.
Configure And Maintain IC Setups Such As
Compensation Plans, Formulas, Rates
Crediting Rules & Credit Types
Sales Roles, Territories & Resource Hierarchies
Performance Measures & Targets
Payout Cycles & Approval Workflows
Ensure configurations align with business compensation policies.
- EndtoEnd IC Processing Support
Run And Validate
Sales transaction imports
Crediting engine
Earnings calculations
Payment batch generation
Perform reconciliation between source transactions, IC earnings, and payout reports.
Handle corrections, reruns, and monthly/quarterly processing cycles.
Support Standard And Custom IC Reporting Using
BI Publisher
EBS Standard IC Reports
Extracts for Finance/Payroll
Validate accuracy of incentive statements and summaries.
- ESaaS Release & Operations Support
Participate in testing, patching, code migration, and environment refresh validation.
Perform regression testing for patches or updates impacting IC processes.
Maintain configuration consistency across Dev/QA/Prod environments.
- Documentation & Compliance
Maintain Updated Documentation Including
Setup documents
Functional design artifacts
SOPs & runbooks
Test scripts
Qualifications
Ensure compliance with audit/SOX requirements for compensation data.
Functional Skills
In-depth Understanding Of
Strong hands-on experience in Oracle EBS R12 Incentive Compensation.
Incentive plan structures
Crediting logic
Earnings calculation
Sales hierarchies & territory management
Performance measures
Knowledge of related modules (AR, OM, CRM, HR) is a plus.
Technical Awareness (Good to Have)
Working ability to perform SQL queries for data validation.
Understanding of IC engine tables and data flows.
Experience with BI Publisher, WebADI, or data import tools.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction ability.
Ability to document and communicate complex IC processes clearly.
Adaptability for ESaaS/managed service delivery environments.
