Position: Trainee / Jr Executive - Environment Sustainability

Location: Arekere, Bengaluru

Experience: 0-1 Years

Qualification: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Environment Science

Position Overview:

• To develop and implement strategies to reduce the environmental impact of textile and apparel production processes.
• Need to work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, design, sourcing, and supply chain, to ensure that sustainability goals and targets are met.
• Your role involves identifying and implementing best practices, researching and recommending innovative solutions, and promoting a culture of environmental responsibility within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Environmental Impact Assessment:

a. Conduct comprehensive assessments of the environmental impact of textile and apparel production processes.

b. Analyze data and identify areas for improvement, such as energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and chemical usage.

c. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish baseline measurements and set realistic sustainability targets.

2.Sustainability Strategy Development:

a. Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy for the textile apparel industry, aligned with global standards and regulations.

b. Identify and prioritize initiatives to reduce environmental impact, considering factors such as carbon emissions, water conservation, waste reduction, and responsible chemical usage.

c. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate sustainability practices throughout the entire value chain.

3.Compliance and Reporting:

a. Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and certifications, such as ISO 14001 and Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

b. Prepare accurate and timely sustainability reports, documenting progress towards targets and highlighting areas for improvement.

c. Collaborate with internal teams to gather data and develop environmental performance indicators (EPIs) for measuring sustainability performance.

4.Qualifications and Skills:

a. Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.

b. Experience working in the textile or apparel industry (Manufacturing).

c. Excellent analytical skills to assess environmental impact and identify improvement opportunities
