About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Software QA Engineer to support testing and administration of our cloud-based Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career in software testing/quality assurance who wants hands-on experience working with a development team and real software products.

In this role, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of our ATS platform by developing test cases, executing manual testing, documenting defects, and assisting users with system setup and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and document test cases and test scenarios for a cloud-based ATS software platform.
  • Perform manual testing to verify system functionality, workflows, and user experience.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Assist with user administration, including creating and managing user accounts in the ATS.
  • Provide basic user training and support to employees using the system.
  • Troubleshoot user issues and help resolve application-related problems.
  • Maintain clear documentation of testing activities, defects, and system updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent training).
  • Exposure to software testing through a class project, internship, bootcamp, or academic coursework.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively.
  • Self-driven and eager to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

  • Basic understanding of software testing concepts (test cases, defect tracking, QA processes).
  • Familiarity with SaaS or web-based applications.
  • Exposure to tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, TestRail, or similar tracking systems.
