Job Description

As an Enterprise Software Test Engineer II at Medtronic in Hyderabad, you will be a key contributor to ensuring the quality and reliability of our enterprise software solutions. You will be responsible for designing and developing test protocols, building and maintaining automation test suites, and actively contributing to platform configuration and troubleshooting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively, stay updated with the latest technology trends, and directly impact the development of products that champion healthcare access and equity.

A Day in the Life

You will drive enterprise software quality and automation by:

  • Designing and developing comprehensive test protocols for assigned software features.
  • Developing, running, and maintaining suite(s) of automation tests for enterprise applications.
  • Maintaining and growing knowledge of platform configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Working under general direction and collaboratively with internal development teams, product owners, and external partners.
  • Continuously keeping updated with the latest technology trends and channeling that learning into Medtronic Product development.
  • Supporting the development of frameworks and tools to identify functional and non-functional regressions (e.g., latency, performance).
  • Performing performance testing and load testing to ensure application scalability and responsiveness.
  • Designing and developing automated test cases for new features and existing functionalities.
  • Analyzing results of automated regression suites and effectively distilling those results into detailed bug tickets as needed.
  • Conducting API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Working directly and effectively with technical leads and other engineers to ensure testing alignment and efficiency.
  • Demonstrating a creative and innovation-driven ability to articulate engineering quality paradigms and patterns.
  • Being aware of CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) automation principles and practices.
  • Managing your own learning and actively contributing to functional knowledge building within the team.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in Web application testing.
  • Support in developing framework and tools to identify functional and non-functional (latency, performance) regressions.
  • Experience with Performance testing and load testing.
  • Experience in the design/development of automated test cases.
  • Ability to analyze results of automated regression suites and distill those results into bug tickets as needed.
  • Experience with API testing Using Postman or SoapUI.
  • Strong demonstrated ability to work directly with technical leads and other engineers.
  • Demonstrated a creative and innovation-driven ability to articulate engineering quality paradigms and patterns.
  • Aware of CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) Automation.
  • Experience with GIT and other version control tools.
  • Ability to manage own learning and contribute to functional knowledge building.
