Roles and Responsibilities
1. Risk Identification and Assessment:
Identify and evaluate operational risks across various departments.
Develop risk assessment frameworks and methodologies.
Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to identify potential operational risks.
2. Risk Mitigation:
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
Ensure the implementation of risk controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with different teams to address risk issues and implement corrective measures.
3. Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor operational risk indicators and metrics.
Prepare and present risk reports to senior management.
Manage regular Risk meetings with senior Stakeholders and review RCSAs and KRIs
4. Third Party Risk Management:
To Manage third parties, third-party contacts, external risk assessments and issues.
To identify potential risks associated with third-party interactions, such as cybersecurity vulnerabilities,
non- compliance with regulations, operational inefficiencies, or financial instability
To gather information security controls evidence from third parties.
5. Policy Development:
Assist in the development and Updating of operational risk policies and procedures.
Ensure policies are aligned with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
6. System Testing:
To conduct UAT for ORM development and implementation
Maintain and oversee business continuity management program including appropriate testing
7. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports
Qualification
1. Bachelor's/ master's degree in management, finance, accounting, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a risk management role, preferably in an NBFC or financial services environment.
Skills
1. Experience in operational risk and knowledge of operational risk management framework
2. Risk Identification, Risk Monitoring, Risk Mitigation, Risk Reporting Techniques and systems
3. Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint., PowerBI or other data visualization tools
5. Check and challenge the Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) produced by 1st line of defense before
validation by the management
6. Strong knowledge of Operational Risk in Lending domain
7. Strong Analytical Aptitude and logical reasoning ability
8. Strong presentation and communication skills
