Job Title:
Oracle Fusion Order Orchestration / Order Management Lead (EDI Integration)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Order Management (OM) / Order Orchestration Lead with strong expertise in EDI integrations (850, 860, 865, etc.). This role will be responsible for owning the end-to-end OM track in a support and enhancement environment, including solutioning, stakeholder engagement, and guiding technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Leadership & Ownership
- Lead and own the Oracle Fusion Order Management (OM) / Order Orchestration track.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all OM-related functional and integration topics.
- Drive solutioning for enhancements, small projects, and continuous improvements.
Requirements & Solution Design
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements.
- Prepare high-quality Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) and Solution Design Documents (SDD).
- Translate business requirements into scalable Oracle Fusion OM solutions.
EDI Integration (Critical Requirement)
- Design and support integrations involving EDI transactions such as:
- 850 (Purchase Order)
- 860 (PO Change)
- 865 (PO Acknowledgment/Change Response)
- Work closely with integration teams on middleware (OIC, SOA, or equivalent) and external trading partners.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues across inbound/outbound flows.
Support & Issue Resolution
- Handle functional support tickets (L2/L3) in Oracle Fusion OM.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide clear, structured explanations to stakeholders.
- Ensure timely resolution of production issues with minimal business impact.
Enhancements & Development
- Lead and participate in enhancement initiatives and small projects.
- Collaborate with technical teams for development, testing, and deployment.
- Contribute hands-on where required (configurations, validations, basic technical understanding).
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Guide and mentor technical and junior functional team members.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and documentation quality.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with client business stakeholders to:
- Explain issues and solutions clearly
- Provide updates and recommendations
- Build trust through effective communication
Required Skills & Experience
Functional Expertise
- Strong experience in Oracle Fusion Order Management / Order Orchestration.
- Deep understanding of:
- Order lifecycle
- Pricing, fulfillment, shipping, and orchestration flows
- Order revisions and change management
EDI & Integration
- Hands-on experience with EDI transactions (850, 860, 865).
- Strong understanding of integration architecture (OIC, SOA, REST/SOAP, middleware platforms).
- Experience working with trading partners and third-party logistics systems is a plus.
Support & Delivery
- Proven experience in support projects (AMS model).
- Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills.
- Experience handling SLAs, ticket prioritization, and production support environments.
Documentation
- Expertise in preparing:
- FRDs / BRDs
- Solution Design Documents
- Process flows and integration diagrams
Technical Awareness
- Good understanding of Oracle Fusion technical stack:
- OIC / Integration Cloud
- BI Reports / OTBI
- Basic SQL (nice to have)
Soft Skills (Critical)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain complex functional and technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner.
- Strong ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving approach.
- Experience working in global, client-facing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Fusion certifications in Order Management or SCM.
- Experience in manufacturing / retail / supply chain domains.
- Exposure to Agile delivery model.
