Job Responsibilities
The Enterprise Architecture (EA) team works at the intersection of business and technology, shaping a unified view of the organization's capabilities, processes, data, applications, security, and overall technology landscape. EA facilitates discussions on how to optimize this landscape and drives governance around reference architectures and standards that support the company's overarching vision and strategy.
The Enterprise Architecture Function Is Responsible For
- Defining, supporting, and publishing Magna's current- and future-state enterprise architecture across technology, processes, data, and security.
- Embedding an AIfirst mindset into enterprise design and architectural decision-making.
- Delivering actionable EA outputs in an agile, timesensitive manner, ensuring alignment of initiatives with strategy, roadmaps, and the broader enterprise context.
- Positioning EA as an internal management consultancy by providing services and expertise that support strategic decisionmaking and implementation.
- Publishing Global IT's enterprise reference architecture, including design guidelines and standards for target-state capabilities.
- Evaluating architectural options and supporting the development of technology strategy in response to emerging internal or external disruptive factors.
- Maintaining strong industry knowledge across Magna business areas, fostering decentralized innovation through Continuous Innovation & Foresight services, and guiding IT in adopting emerging technologies at the right time.
Major Responsibilities
- Assess technology strategy, organizational setup, applications, and infrastructure, identifying ITrelated risks.
- Advise on the full enterprise architecture landscape, including application, data, information, integration, and security architecture.
- Integrate Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities into enterprise solutions using modern frameworks, enabling advanced productivity and functionality (e.g., predictive analytics, automation).
- Lead or support the implementation of large-scale, innovative IT solutions to enable business transformation.
- Develop technology strategies and planning deliverables that mitigate IT risks and improve organizational effectivenessespecially around application integration.
- Create target-state solution architectures, conduct assessments, and perform detailed gap analyses.
- Drive technical debt reduction initiatives and promote harmonization and standardization across the IT landscape.
- Contribute to the creation of solution strategies and multi-year roadmaps.
- Convey complex technical topics through clear storytelling tailored to diverse audiences.
- Support the establishment of Centers of Excellence and Communities of Practice.
- Lead or advise the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
Knowledge and Education
- University degree in Business Information Systems, Informatics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture (EA) or related domains.
- EA certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Zimmermann) are an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Generative and Agentic AI, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation frameworks, with the ability to align AI capabilities to business outcomes responsibly and at scale.
- Broad understanding of business processes and their interplay with IT, paired with curiosity and a drive for continuous learning.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Work Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or related crossfunctional roles.
Skills And Competencies
- Ability to develop business capability maps and identify supporting applications.
- Experience generating IT landscape reports, including application inventories, dependencies, and data flows.
- Capability to create migration roadmaps and project plans for transitioning from legacy to modern systems.
- Proficiency in developing currentstate and futurestate Enterprise Architecture artifacts.
- Strong understanding of AI and its integration into enterprise environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and innovative solutions across multicloud landscapes.
- Ability to produce application criticality assessments and lifecycle roadmaps based on technical and business criteria.
- Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex architecture topics to varied audiences.
- Expertise in governance frameworks ensuring quality, security, and compliance.
- Experience embedding generative AI capabilities into enterprise systems to improve processes, insights, and decisionmaking.
