Infrastructure Architect Private AI & GenAI Solutions
Job Summary:
The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing on-premises infrastructure solutions to support Private AI and Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives. This role involves leading technical discussions, defining architecture, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance AI platforms leveraging VMware Cloud Foundation technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in VMware solutions, AI/ML frameworks, and enterprise infrastructure design.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Architecture
- Architect, design, and implement on-premises infrastructure solutions for Private AI and GenAI workloads.
- Lead technical discussions with stakeholders to gather requirements and define AI/GenAI platform architecture.
- Develop end-to-end solutions using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) technologies, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vRealize Suite.
- Provide detailed infrastructure designs covering compute, storage, networking, and security components tailored for AI workloads.
- Integrate Private AI solutions into existing enterprise environments ensuring security, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure successful delivery of AI infrastructure projects.
- Develop best practices, reference architectures, and deployment guides for AI and GenAI solutions.
- Stay current with technology trends in Private AI, VMware, on-premises cloud, and data center innovations.
Governance & Leadership
- Mentor technical and solution architects, fostering continuous learning and knowledge upgradation.
- Perform engagement-level delivery governance and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Participate in RFP/RFI processes, due diligence, and pre-sales support; oversee Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Provide solutions for IT optimization, business-aligned IT, enterprise architecture, and transformation roadmaps.
- Support business/product acquisition, mergers, and Application Portfolio Optimization (APO).
Additional Requirements:
- VMware certifications (e.g., VCAP or equivalent).
- Pre-sales experience in infrastructure solutions (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Nvidia Triton).
- Familiarity with security and compliance requirements for Private AI environments.
- Experience with hardware acceleration technologies (GPUs, DPUs).
- Exposure to multi-tenant environments and service provider models.
