Overview: We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead and shape the architecture of our online retail platform. The Enterprise Architect will play a crucial role in defining the technology roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Architecture Design:
- Lead the design and development of cloud-based microservices architecture that aligns with the company's strategic goals.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy that supports the organization's growth and technological needs.
- Ensure the architecture supports scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Cloud specific skills
- Cloud Platform Knowledge
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider:AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Understanding of services like EC2, S3, Lambda, Kubernetes, etc.
- Cost Management Tools
Hands-on with tools like:
- AWS Cost Explorer / AWS Budgets
- Azure Cost Management
- GCP Billing Reports
- Third-party tools: CloudHealth, Apptio, CloudCheckr, Spot.io, etc.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Strong with Excel, SQL, or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Ability to interpret usage reports and billing data
- Creating dashboards and forecasts
- Financial Acumen
- Budgeting, forecasting, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)
- Understanding of CAPEX vs OPEX
- Familiarity with chargebacks/showbacks models
- Scripting & Automation (nice to have)
- Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
- Working with APIs to pull billing data

- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Lead efforts to protect customer and company data.
- Implement and oversee security measures to protect data and applications.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and compliance standards.
- Integration and Interoperability:
- Architect solutions for seamless integration with third-party systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
- Define API strategies and data exchange protocols.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement integrations.
- Scalability and Performance:
- Design systems that can handle high traffic loads and peak demands.
- Optimize performance, including page load times and transaction processing.
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
- Mentor and coach team members in best practices and architectural principles.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Guide the development and deployment of microservices, ensuring they are robust, secure, and scalable.
- Work closely with software developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- TOGAF Certified.
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Maintain thorough documentation of the architecture, design principles, and operational procedures.
