Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to senior secondary students, adhering to the school's curriculum and standards.
- Design and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and encourage student participation and critical thinking.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters collaboration, respect, and enthusiasm for learning.
- Participate in professional development activities, staff meetings, and parent-teacher interactions to support students and enhance teaching strategies.
- Promote extracurricular activities related to English and literature through clubs, competitions, and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and share best practices in teaching methodologies.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in English or a related field from a recognized university.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree is mandatory.
- Strong command over the English language, both written and spoken.
- In-depth knowledge of literature, language arts, and linguistic theory.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school.
- Proven track record of enhancing student performance and engagement in English.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology integration in classrooms.
- Experience in coordinating extracurricular activities related to English is a plus.
