TGT English Teacher (CBSE Curriculum)

Grades: 6 10

Employment Type: Full-time | Permanent

Salary: 25,000 50,000 per month

Location: Bengaluru

About the Role

We are seeking a committed and passionate TGT English Teacher to teach Grades 6 to 10 (CBSE curriculum). The ideal candidate is adaptable, student-focused, and enthusiastic about delivering high-quality English language and literature education while contributing positively to the school community.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

  • Plan and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
  • Design structured lesson plans that address diverse learning styles and academic needs.

Student Assessment & Development

  • Assess student learning through assignments, tests, projects, and examinations.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support continuous academic improvement.

Classroom Management

  • Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
  • Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills among students.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with colleagues and school leadership to strengthen curriculum delivery.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate student progress effectively.

Professional Development

  • Stay updated with CBSE guidelines, subject knowledge, and modern teaching methodologies.
  • Actively engage in training programs and professional development initiatives.

  • Qualifications & Experience

    Educational Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in English or a related discipline.
    • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent recognized teaching certification.

    Experience

    • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level (Grades 610).
    • Familiarity with CBSE curriculum requirements and assessment patterns.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
    • Ability to create engaging, learner-centric lesson plans.
    • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
