Engineering Manager (10+ Years Experience)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams and drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership skills to manage teams, define architecture, and align engineering efforts with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers
• Drive end-to-end product development and delivery
• Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to define requirements
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures
• Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
• Manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback
• Handle hiring, onboarding, and team development
• Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges
• Ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience in team leadership or engineering management
• Strong experience in backend or full-stack development
• Hands-on experience with system design and architecture
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Technical Skills (Preferred)

• Programming: Java, Python, Node.js, or similar
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, React, Angular (optional based on role)
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• DevOps: CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
• Microservices architecture and REST APIs
