Engineering Manager B2B SaaS

Location: Gurgaon, India (WFO, On-site)

The Vision

Knowmax is the leading provider of Customer Experience Knowledge Management solutions, revolutionizing how global enterprises create and consume knowledge. We are currently undergoing a massive transformation, shifting from a traditional KM platform to an AI-first Agentic Knowledge Cloud.

We are looking for a visionary Engineering Manager to lead our core engineering pod. You won't just manage a team; you will architect the systems that allow LLMs to solve complex customer problems autonomously. If you have a founding mindset and are obsessed with the intersection of Generative AI, Agentic workflows, and Enterprise scalability, we want you.

What You'll Do

1. Lead AI & Technical Strategy

  • Scalable Infrastructure: Own the end-to-end design and deployment of our multi-tenant SaaS platform, ensuring it handles enterprise-grade loads with sub-second latency.
  • LLM Orchestration: Oversee the integration of LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama) using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex, ensuring optimal RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) performance.

2. Engineering Excellence & Delivery

  • Roadmap Ownership: Translate product vision into high-impact technical execution plans, balancing fast-to-market AI features with long-term architectural debt management.
  • System Reliability: Move the needle from bug-free to resilient. Own platform uptime, security (SOC2/GDPR compliance), and high-availability systems.
  • Post-Implementation Tech Success: Ensure the platform scales seamlessly for global enterprise clients post-deployment, acting as the bridge between engineering and technical account management.

3. People & Culture Leadership

  • Build a High-Density Team: Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier talent. You will be responsible for building a robust talent pipeline, including a high-performance internship program that feeds into core engineering.
  • Foster an AI-First Culture: Promote continuous learning in prompt engineering, vector databases, and emerging AI research within the team.

Who You Are

  • Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
  • Modern Tech Stack: Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
  • Data & AI Proficiency: Strong grasp of PostgreSQL and Vector Databases
  • Hands-on experience or deep conceptual understanding of RAG architectures and Agentic AI frameworks.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Proven experience with AWS/OCI, CI/CD automation, and monitoring tools.
  • The Startup DNA: Previous experience as a founder or an early employee at a VC-backed startup is a significant advantage. You thrive in ambiguity and move with urgency.
