RnG is an alias to Revenue and Growth, this technical vertical inside Swiggy Tech ecosystem focuses on building platforms and distributed systems to solve multiple business use cases for increasing Swiggy's revenue and providing growth in terms of monthly orders, new customer acquisitions, customer retention, etc. We try to understand our customer behavior and build smart products using cutting edge technologies to solve these problems at scale. RnG team consists of Swiggy's offers, Ads, loyalty platform and New Initiative (Instamart and Genie) engineering stacks.
Engineering Managers in Swiggy contribute not only to the high-level architecture of several systems but also to the product's overall success by driving technology and best practices in engineering in their respective teams.
They establish technology vision for respective teams and demonstrate how to solve a deeply complex and hard technical challenge, and help communicate that vision upward (CTO), inward (peers and engineering team) and outward (product & business teams).

- They co-own the technology vision of the respective team and significantly contribute to the overall success of the team

- Create clear career paths for team members and help them grow
- Architect & design technically robust, flexible and scalable solution
- Set up best practices for development and champion their adoption at the same time
What qualities are we looking for
- We are looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial, hands-on Engineering Manager to join the Bangalore Swiggy Engineering team
- 8-10 years of experience in developing products with 1+ years in leading a team of 5+
- In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of application and front-end / Back-end engineers to drive innovation in full-stack product development, while relentlessly improving performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Technically Hands-on, prior experience with scalable Architecture managing team of (5-10)
- Coaching, mentoring managers and Architects in the team. Good team management skills with ability to multitask, strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience working with Product Managers and UX Designers
- Experience with web technologies, Java/Golang, MySQL, NoSql, redis, Python, Linux, AWS etc.
- Experience with high performance websites catering to millions of daily traffic is a plus with an ability to bring in software engineering life cycle best practices
