Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Build, train, and manage a strong team of engineers.
- Monitor performance and mentor the team to ensure high-quality work.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices, standards, and processes to optimize productivity and quality assurance.
- Collaborate closely with product management and design teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to coding standards and security protocols.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our products and recommending strategic enhancements.
- Define project milestones, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery.
- Lead efforts to ensure the security and compliance of our systems, including data protection, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement to maximize project success.
- Create and maintain the technical vision and architecture for our global SaaS offering.
Requirements
- 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript technologies (e. g., Django, Flask, React.js, Node.js ) and familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML5 CSS3 etc. ).
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to build, mentor, and motivate high-performing engineering teams.
- Ability to define and monitor processes.
- Demonstrated experience in independently running engineering functions, from project planning to execution and delivery.
- Understanding of infrastructure and running a product as a service to ensure high availability and scalability of our SaaS product.
