About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to join our team. This position will be a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in office from our facility located in Amar Tech Park.
Responsibilities
- Actively lead or participate in resolving critical issues that impact the performance of the team
- Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing engineers
- Foster growth through performance reviews, career planning, and skills development
- Define and execute the architectural roadmap for Java/Angular platforms, incorporating emerging capabilities such as GenAI where relevant
- Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and oversee end-to-end delivery within the SDLC
- Champion modern practices including CI/CD, test-driven development, automation, and system reliability to enhance performance, quality, and delivery consistency
- Coach and mentor junior team members
- Provide management of on-site and remote developers within a global team
- Build scalable solutions that perform under high transactional volume, handle large data sets, and are structured to support real-time reporting & analytics
- Oversee the development of process to produce clean, efficient code with a focus on maintainability
- Conduct or acquire cost analysis for development projects; prepares or delegates preparation of the schedule of project completion dates
- Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in engineering and development related to the organization's industry
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree is required
Required Skills
- Experience: 10+ years in software development, including at least 2–5 years in direct people leadership and team management.
- Methodology: Deep experience in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe frameworks.
- Backend: Java 8+, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Microservices
- Frontend: Angular (v6+), TypeScript, UI/UX implementation is good to have
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
- Data & Integration: PostgreSQL, SQL, MongoDB, Kafka/RabbitMQ
- Strong background in agile methodologies and ability to mentor others in their use
- Deep understanding of modern deployment and development infrastructure including CI/CD, unit testing, end-to-end testing, and cloud deployment
- Proactive mindset to drive change, question assumptions and push for innovation solutions
- Experience giving and receiving code reviews
- Experience building and consuming RESTful web APIs
- Ideally experience in a healthcare environment
- Ideally experience building applications leveraging HL7 FHIR
- Ideally experience implementing the principles of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
