Role: Engineering Manager
Experience: 12-17 years

Primary Skill: Angular, Node JS, TypeScript and People Management
We are looking for an Engineering Manager who can provide strategic and tactical leadership to the teams that is involved in development/enhancements of the 400+ matchmaking platforms at Matrimony.com. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and also need to be hands-on.
Responsibilities
- Work with the strategy, product and business teams and create a product roadmap for your team and drive the execution.
- Serve as a thought leader and be a mentor on architecture, design and technical aspects of the products.
- Identify and deploy the right tools, frameworks, techniques and processes to help product engineers do their work faster and solve the technology problems more effectively.
- Responsible for product development, testing, deployment and maintenance of products within the agreed timeframes.
- Adapt and iterate quickly based on user and business feedback and metrics.
Desired Skill Set
- Well versed with Agile software development and management methods (user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.) and can excel within an Agile environment.
- Adept at using off-the-shelf software components rather than building everything from scratch, if they meet the requirements.
- Worked with a Typescript based Back-end framework like Node.js and in front-end framework like Angular
- Well versed service-oriented architecture and have built and deployed RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints.
- Built and shipped features for high-traffic web and mobile applications.
- Good with an RDBMS (preferably MySQL) and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
- Familiar with using observability tools to identify and isolate problems.
- Excited about teaching and mentoring junior team members and be involved in code refactoring and code reviews
