About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Senior Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic engineering team. This is a pivotal, hands-on leadership role where you will not only manage and mentor engineers but also actively contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of our scalable and robust SaaS platform. You will drive the adoption of modern, microservices-based and agentic-AI architectures and ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient software solutions. This is a Remote position for US candidates only.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of high-performing engineers, fostering innovation and excellence. Focus on career growth, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, supportive environment.
- Hands-on Architecture & Development: Actively participate in the architectural design, driving decisions for platform scalability, reliability, and maintainability, with a strong focus on microservices. Conduct code reviews, provide constructive technical guidance, and occasionally write code to lead by example and resolve complex technical issues.
- System Architecture & Strategy: Design and implement robust, scalable system architectures to support company growth. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools, ensuring platform security and compliance with industry standards (e.g., HITRUST, SOC 2).
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product management, QA, operations, and business stakeholders) to define requirements and solutions. Communicate technical concepts clearly to all audiences. Participate in agile development processes and document architectural and system designs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, with a total of 7+ years in professional software development, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of microservices architecture and proven experience designing and implementing scalable and distributed systems that are in production.
- Strong proficiency in Python. Experience in Golang is a plus.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and building scalable systems for compliance is a strong plus.
- Experience developing data crawlers or high-volume data ingestion pipelines is a plus.
- Experience in the insurance or healthcare industry is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
