Role: Engineering ManagerDevOps
An Engineering Manager, you serve as the technical anchor for an engineering team. You create, own and are responsible for the Cloud & DevOps architecture that best serves a product in its functional and strategic needs.
Responsibilities:
- Experience leading AWS DevOps engineering teams of leads& engineers in a fast paced, delivery focused environment.
- Will be working primarily on a set of digital products focused on consumer facing containerized web & mobile applications, content streaming, distributed data stores, data engineering & analytics, serverless functions & hosting of API's.
- Demonstrated leadership in shaping an AI-first infrastructure and platform architecture, including multi-cloud strategies, SRE practices, and platform engineering, with validation of AI-driven decisions against SLAs, reliability, and cost objectives, and mentoring teams on safe and effective AI-assisted operations.
- A strongfocus on automation and cloud-native thinking. A proven recordof working within distributed infrastructures and experience in Cloud technology specifically AWS.
- Will be responsible for delivery of all the technical implementation as per the requests in JIRA for different self-hosted & managed resources on AWS in an automated fashion, using the best practices of DevOps, security & cost optimisation.
- Own technical documentation for everything Cloud DevOps in Confluence.
- Plan and prioritise work for your team, includingcollaborating with cross border teams.
- Provide oversightand accountability for technical decisions.
- Create an inclusive environment that attracts and retains high-performing engineers.
- You will collaborate with Developers, ProgramManagers, QA and DevOps Engineersin an agile development environment.
- Constantly learn and grow as an engineerand an engineering leader.
- Demonstrate a passion for customers and technology.
Requirements:
- Computer Sc. engineering graduate with 12+ years of relevant work experience in AWS, DevOps & team management.
- Extremely knowledgeable on Linux, Shell Scripting, AWS core services(VPC, EC2 S3 IAM, RDS), Amazon EKS/Kubernetes, GIT, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Build management of digital servicesbased on Java & React / React Native.
- Strong operating system fundamentals with a focus on performance optimisation & reliability of the system.
- Has exposure to networking concepts(SSH, FTP, TCP/IP,DNS, Load Balancing, CDN etc. ).
- Handled team of 15+ resources.
- Good to have experience working with distributed systems & databases (SQL, NoSQL, Cache), stream-processing (Kafka), message-queuing (RabbitMQ) & search &analytics platform (ELK).
- Hands on experience buildingmicroservices architecture, applyingdesign patterns and developing frameworks
- Excellent organisational, verbal& written communication skills.
- Aptitude to be a good team player& the desireto learn &implement new Open Sourcetechnologies.
- Able to develop and maintain strongrelationships with both internal and external customers
- Consistent track record for solutiondelivery, quality improvements, champion for agile scrum adoption.
- Have a strong focus on businessoutcomes
