We're charting new territory at the intersection of AI, legacy systems, and industrial scale

and we're looking for a VP of Engineering to lead our Bangalore engineering hub into the

next era of impact.

The Role

We are seeking a servant-leader with a proven track record in full-stack product

development, scalable team leadership, and cross-regional collaboration. You'll be a

foundational force in growing and evolving our AI-native decision

Team & Culture

Lead and grow a high-performing 1015-person engineering team (scaling to 20).

Foster a transparent, collaborative, no-heroes culture built on shared ownership

and continuous learning.

Embed values of craftsmanship, curiosity, and humility into the team's DNA.

Technical Ownership

Drive end-to-end development of Daybreak, our AI-native decision platform, built

using:

o Frontend: React (TypeScript)

o Backend/Data: FastAPI, Data bricks, Dagster, GitHub, Nixtla

o AI/LLM: LangChain, LangGraph

o Infra: AWS, Terraform, Docker, Azure DevOps

o BI/UX: Luzmo, Playwright, Jest, Pytest, SonarCloud, Checkov

Ensure code quality, scalability, and security with rigorous CI/CD and testing

standards.

Quality & Reliability

Own architectural decisions, system scalability, performance, and operational

resilience.

Drive automation and monitoring excellence with DevOps-first thinking and cloud-

native design.

People Development

Coach and mentor engineers and team leads through actionable feedback, code

reviews, and pair programming.

Set clear engineering standards and promote technical growth across the team.

Cross-Regional Partnership

Act as a dependable and proactive partner to North American HQ.

Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams across time zones.

Provide candid, timely updates to stakeholders and adapt to dynamic priorities with

clarity and composure.

Must-Haves

• 10+ years in full-stack engineering roles (SaaS, platform, or AI-focused).
• 5+ years leading engineering teams, including leads.
• Hands-on experience in analytics engineering building and productizing data transformation pipelines using tools like dbt, Dagster, or equivalent orchestration frameworks. Enough depth toset standards for pipeline reliability, data modeling, and observability, not just review outputs.
• Strong experience across our stack or equivalent: React, FastAPI, Python, Data bricks, AWS, Docker, Terraform.
• Proven ability to lead engineering functions at a high-growth or product-centric
• company.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A servant-leader mindset focused on scaling people, not just processes.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience working in hybrid cloud/on-premise environments.
• Strong grasp of workflow orchestration (Dagster, Prefect, or Airflow) and analytics engineering practices including data modeling, pipeline testing, and lineage applied at production scale
• Deep understanding of CI/CD best practices, automated testing, and security
• compliance.
• Exposure to enterprise SaaS or supply chain/manufacturing tech domains.
