The Role
As an Engineering Manager at Unifize, you will be at the forefront of driving our engineering team forward to deliver on our goals as a company. You will be reporting directly to the VP of Engineering. This role is designed for a passionate, proactive individual who is eager to dive deep into an engineering leadership role and help innovate solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage a structured team of 15 developers based in Bangalore.
- Work with Product Management to plan releases and development by the team.
- Resource allocation and balancing
- Implement and tracks development deadlines
- Negotiate feature sets with the product teams
- Identify and manage issues and risk throughout the product development lifecycle
- Help define and enforce development methodology and process
- Drive the testing process
- Maintain cross-department communication with key company stakeholders including customer support and customer success.
- Full people management responsibility, including hiring, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development for the overall department
Qualifications
- 6+ years of software engineering experience as an individual contributor with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects.
- Experience in developing/managing teams.
- Strong knowledge of databases and deep depth in any of the following programming languages: Python, Golang, Java.
- Agile, proactive, comfortable working with high-level specifications, and can prioritise on the fly
- B.Tech/B.E. or higher degree in Computer Science
