Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined Trainee Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will receive hands-on exposure to engineering, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, project coordination, and site operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers and the Project Manager in the planning and implementation of projects according to schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
- Assist with the installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Gain hands-on experience in motor and pump troubleshooting, servicing, and maintenance.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical faults such as vibration, overheating, leakage, and abnormal noise.
- Assist with dismantling, repairing, servicing, and reassembling mechanical components such as bearings, seals, couplings, and valves.
- Assist in checking and troubleshooting control systems, including DOL, Star-Delta, and VFD systems.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, layout drawings, and technical drawings.
- Assist in reviewing, modifying, and preparing technical drawings using AutoCAD and other technical drawing software.
- Assist with testing and inspection using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and insulation testers.
- Assist in checking and maintaining pressure and temperature switches, gauges, sensors, and flow control valves.
- Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives when required.
- Assist with site supervision to ensure installation and commissioning are carried out according to project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and assist in preparing work schedules and productivity targets.
- Assist in ensuring work is carried out in accordance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Assist in identifying and reporting technical issues, quality problems, and non-conformities.
- Participate in site meetings and assist with recording and following up on project matters.
- Assist with coordination between internal teams and external parties to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support the engineering team throughout the project lifecycle, from design and installation through to completion.
- Perform other engineering and site-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Engineer.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with internship or basic hands-on engineering experience will have an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of motors, pumps, mechanical equipment, and electrical control systems is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of DOL, Star-Delta, and VFD systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other technical drawing software is preferred.
- Willing to work on-site and gain hands-on experience in engineering and maintenance activities.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Willing to learn and take instructions from senior engineers and supervisors.
- Able to work independently as well as as part of a team.
