Who we are:
This development team is responsible for architecture, design, development and support of Tejas OTN and DWDM family of products. Largely comprising embedded and networking software experts, the team designs and implements entire control plane, data plane and management plane of Tejas state of the art Optical Transport products, spanning across SDH/SONET, Carrier Ethernet, OTN & DWDM technologies and optical networking standards, scaling from standalone to large multi-chassis nodes, and with line speed of 1Tbps+. Our unique software architecture and development processes ensure latest technological advances reach our customers quickly through our product offerings, that consistently meet or beat system requirements in terms of standard compliance, inter-operability, security, redundancy, performance and maintenance.
What You Work
- As a technical expert, you will contribute in product development and delivery including planning, requirement analysis, design, implementation, validation, verification and field testing
- Analyze and prioritize various features for different sub-systems to get a synchronized system delivery in a phased manner
- Closely work with other teams and partners to carry out system integration and user acceptance testing
Responsibilities
Mandatory skills:
- Hands on developing software experience in C/C++ on Linux based environment.
- Experience with multi-tasking, multi-threading, interrupt, POSIX IPC, System VIPC, Synchronization, memory management etc. in Linux Environment.
- Ability to use application software debuggers, protocolanalyzers, Wireshark, GDB, Val grind, eclipse, Code-block, GIT, CVS etc.
- Hands on experience on TCP-IP and socket programming.
- working knowledge of protocols like: SNMP, SDH/SONET, Circuit Emulation/OTN/1588 V2 / QinQ, LAG etc.
Desired Skills
- Able to plan and execute tasks independentlyin a fast moving and fluid environment.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 to 3 years experience from Telecommunication or Networking background.
- Education: B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE/EEE/IS) or any other equivalent degree
- Candidate should be good at coding skills in Embedded, Linux with C & C++.

About The Team
Tejas Networks is driving cutting-edge research to revolutionize content delivery and wireless communication technologies. One major area of focus is the development of advanced solutions that integrate broadcast and cellular networks to enable seamless content distribution. These innovations aim to alleviate network congestion, reduce infrastructure costs, and enhance the overall user experience. A key outcome of this work is a next-generation Content Delivery Network (CDN) architecture that supports Direct-to-Mobile (D2M) delivery, developed in collaboration with leading CDN and content providers. This initiative is backed by a robust portfolio of patented technologies in broadcast and content delivery systems.
In parallel, significant efforts are being made to enhance the flexibility and efficiency of wireless network operations. Research in this domain includes the creation of a domain-specific language (DSL) that enables platform-independent expression of Radio Access Network (RAN) functions, helping reduce dependency on proprietary hardware.
