Production Job Responsibilities
Job Description Engineer/Sr. Engineer Spray (Glazing)
- Responsible for ceramic spray process in shift independently.
- Can mange spray operation through manual and robotic spray.
- Create and upgrade spray program for robotic spray.
- Plan and coordinate production requirements on daily basis.
- Generating production related reports and documentation.
- Maximize productivity of machines and workmen
- Perform manpower planning, monitoring absenteeism, be responsible for skills development on regular basis for blue-collar workmen.
- Maintain and drive strong safety culture within the team and ensure safe and healthy work environment for all associates.
- Drive strong 5S culture in the team and ensure that the standard of excellence is delivered.
- People management- supervision of spray (glazing) team to ensure targets for safety-quality- delivery- cost are achieved.
- Ensure for compliance to company policy, rules and regulations, HSE policy.
- Ensure standard operating procedures are followed by associates without any deviation to standard processes.
- Ensure all requirements of integrated management system (IMS) are fulfilled in the spray process.
- Deliver lean inventory management of sprayed wares by ensuring one piece flow in the process.
- Plan and ensure availability of operating supplies for spray (glazing) process.
- Coordinate with manufacturing optimization team and be part of problem-solving projects to drive continuous improvement by using tools like APDCA, A3 methodology etc.
- Ensure adherence to scheduled training to all associates in spray (glazing) area.
- Develop or update standard operating procedures and best practices for enhance production operations. Internal stakeholders: Production team members, EHS, Procurement, SOIP, Finance, HR, Maintenance, and QA. External stakeholders: Global counterparts of other Lixil plants, standards auditors.
Required Skills And Capabilities
- Knowledge in aesthetical, functional and dimensional standards of ceramic sanitaryware products.
- Statistical analysis and problem solving.
- Knowledge of TPM, Kaizen, Kanban, OEE, POKA- YOKE is preferable.
- Production planning.
- Robotic experience.
- MS Office Academia: - Bachelor's degree or diploma in ceramic technology or any faculty.
Professional experience: -
At least 6+ years experience in ceramic spray (glazing) operation.
Reporting to: Leader, Spray (Glazing) Operation.
