TheEngineer / Senior Engineer Civil & Structural Designwill be responsible for providing civil and structural design and engineering support for solar PV projects. The role involves bid-stage engineering, detailed design, coordination with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards to deliver optimized and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze BID documents, RFPs, proposals, vendor drawings, and technical documents for targeted solar PV projects.
- Provide design and engineering support to Business Development, Sales, Finance, and Construction teams during bid and execution phases.
- Perform civil and structural design for solar PV plants, including:
- RCC and steel structures
- Equipment foundations
- Pile foundations and pile testing procedures
- Roads and storm water drainage systems
- Carry out structural analysis and design using STAAD.Pro and prepare drawings using AutoCAD.
- Review and interpret geotechnical investigation reports and hydrological data for design suitability.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Indian Standards (IS Codes) and, where required, international codes such as IBC, ASCE, AISI, and EN codes.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, SCM, Construction teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and optimized system design.
- Support value engineering, design optimization, and development of innovative civil/structural solutions for solar projects.
Qualifications:
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Prior experience in design and engineering for solar PV plants is preferred.
Technical Competencies:
- Design of RCC and steel structures, roads, and drainage systems.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering and hydrology.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems from a civil and structural perspective.
- Proficiency in STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Indian and international design codes.
- Ability to optimize designs, reduce costs, and introduce innovative engineering ideas.
