Job Purpose
To prospect, generate and create profitable sales from existing and new customers, and to provide support to clients.
Duties And Responsibilities
Individual must be able to perform the essential duties :
- Generate proper requirements and to ensure the submission of the best bid to win the job;
- Understand the client's business to determine requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions, to suit client demand;
- Increase the footprints & installed base of our products in the region;
- Prevent own installed base going away to competitions;
- Coordinate with clients, providing technical assistance and support, regarding technical specifications of products, attending client visits to follow up and secure bids as required;
- Engage, communicate and build relationships with the team to support proposals;
- Meet the quote and order processing KPI's and maintain CRM / Salesforce data accurately and promptly;
- Ensure all sales procedures and rules are understood and followed;
- Ensure that business systems and tools, including CRM / Salesforce, are used effectively and in line with business requirements;
- Carry out basic commercial reviews of terms and conditions;
- Ensure that sales orders are entered in line with agreed procedure and that orders reflect the technical and delivery schedule requirements;
- Provide sales support for other colleagues in the team and advise on best practice and protocol;
- Collate and produce regular reports as required;
- Any other ad-hoc duties that may be delegated by management that are within the capabilities of the Sales Engineer.
Education, Experience & Ability Requirements in East Region: Kolkata / Bhubaneswar / Jamshedpur
Any combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered.
- A minimum of 8-10 years technical sales experience with industrial valves and/or automation experience preferable
- Good understanding of oil and gas & metal & mining industry specifications is preferable
- Will be able to travel extensively to varied customers in the eastern region.
- Should be able to grow the organization's business through extensive dealer network in the region.
- Engineering background ideally mechanical / instrumentation.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Proven track record of working to tight deadlines
- Computer literate ideally experienced with MS Office & CRM / Salesforce.
