Qualifications And Experience
oEducation: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field
oExperience: Minimum of 6-10 years of professional experience in instrumentation, process control, and automation engineering, with significant exposure to both project execution and plant maintenance environments.
oSystem Expertise: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with major industrial control platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion).
oInstrumentation: Expert knowledge of various field instruments, including flow, level, pressure, and temperature transmitters, control valves, analytical instrumentation, and their application in hazardous areas.
oStandards: Strong understanding of industry safety and control standards (e.g., IEC 61511 for SIS, ISA S84).
oLeadership: Proven ability to lead small technical teams, mentor junior engineers, and manage contractors/vendors
Project Support
oOversee the installation, commissioning and startup of new or modified control systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing plant infrastructure and meeting project timelines.
oManage project budgets, schedules, and contractor performance for all I&A-related project scopes.
oEnsure all project work complies with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, NEC) and safety regulations.
Maintenance and Operations Support
oProvide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for all plant instrumentation, control valves, analyzers, and automation hardware/software.
oDevelop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
oManage the lifecycle of automation assets, including obsolescence planning, system upgrades, and spare parts management.
oLead root cause analysis (RCA) for persistent or critical failures and implement effective corrective actions.
oEnsure proper calibration, documentation, and maintenance of all critical instruments to support process quality and regulatory compliance
