Job Description

1. Job Purpose

The Instrumentation Engineer Reliability ensures optimal performance and maintenance of site-wide instrumentation systems (DCS/PLC/ESD/SCADA). The role supports statutory compliance, safety, and continuous asset improvement through hands-on troubleshooting, planning, and system upgrades.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain reliability of control systems (DCS/PLC/ESD/SCADA).
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for instrumentation issues.
  • Oversee calibration and maintenance of instruments (SMPS, F&G, GC, CCTV, lab tools).
  • Support instrumentation in new projects (greenfield/brownfield).
  • Manage spares, procurement, and vendor coordination.
  • Enhance reliability of package PLCs and operational modes.
  • Ensure ISO/statutory-compliant calibration documentation.
  • Participate in SAT/FAT for new systems.
  • Coordinate with operations and engineering for maintenance and repairs.

3. Requirements

Education:

Bachelors/Masters in Instrumentation Engineering.

Experience:

3-8 years in plant maintenance and reliability.

Expertise in control systems, RCA, preventive maintenance, and CAPEX projects.

Experience with SAP-PM or similar CMMS.

Preferred background in renewable energy, oil & gas, or process industries.
