DESCRIPTION:

Join our collaborative R&D team as an Electrical Engineer III, where you'll help develop innovative laboratory products that enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Working with diverse teams across our organization, you'll design and implement sophisticated electrical and electronic systems for our product portfolio, from initial concept through production release. You'll solve complex technical challenges while ensuring our solutions meet rigorous quality, regulatory, and performance requirements.

Core Technical Skills

Strong fundamentals in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Expertise in PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) design and risk mitigation strategies

Proficiency in designing Digital, Mixed-Signal, and Power Electronics circuits

Ability to synthesize electronic component specifications into product-level fitment

Hands-on experience with schematic design for complex circuit boards

Deep knowledge of design analysis, simulation, and verification tools

Strong understanding of component selection, trade-off analysis, and design optimization

Design & Development Skills

Ability to conceptualize design architectures and identify potential design challenges early

Independently perform design calculations to validate and prove designs

Experience in creating design documents such as:

High-Level Design (HLD)

DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)

Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)

Verification & Validation plans

Proficient in driving design reviews, concept evaluations, and technical decision-making

Experience in Plan A / Plan B development and multi-option tradeoff analysis

Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge

Good knowledge of product regulatory compliance requirements (Safety, EMI/EMC, Environmental, etc.)

Understanding of interface standards (Ethernet, USB, and other communication protocols)

Ability to support product regulatory compliance testing and certification

Testing & Verification Skills

Ability to develop and execute test plans (functional, performance, reliability, and regulatory)

Experience in Functional Circuit Test (FCT) requirements for PCBA production

Verify designs for manufacturability, serviceability, cost, reliability, and thermal performance

Project & Team Leadership Skills

Proven ability to own and drive technically complex projects from scoping to implementation

Experience handling multiple simultaneous projects with agility

Ability to review and ensure technical quality of designs from team members

Mentoring and training junior engineers / early talent

Building Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for projects

Collaboration & Soft Skills

Excellent cross-functional collaboration with Systems, Global Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams

Ability to translate customer requirements into clear electronics design requirements

Strong communication skills for technical discussions, design reviews, and stakeholder management

Self-learning ability to quickly understand new components and technologies

Tools & Software Proficiency (Preferred)

Experience with Circuit Design and Simulation tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, SPICE, LTSpice, etc.)

Any schematic capture and PCB layout tools

Familiarity with risk assessment and reliability prediction tools

Experience Level

Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering

8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Electronics / PCBA design and development

Proven track record of handling medium to high complexity projects independently

Experience acting as a technical mentor for junior team members
