Role & Responsibilities
As a member of the cost optimization (VAVE) team, you will support the identification and execution of cost reduction opportunities, contribute to design concept development, and assist in building standardized engineering practices.
- Review and interpret technical specifications and requirements; seek clarification when needed
- Identify potential cost reduction opportunities in assigned products with guidance from senior team members
- Develop an understanding of component functionality through self-learning and hands-on exposure
- Support the development of design concepts and perform basic engineering calculations and trade-off analyses under guidance
- Assist in component selection to meet technical and performance requirements
- Prepare design documentation based on reviews, inputs, and established engineering processes
- Develop a working understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances
- Conduct alternative component searches and perform basic design evaluations independently
- Gain exposure to design and simulation tools and progressively build hands-on proficiency
- Support preparation of design artifacts and documentation in line with defined processes
- Demonstrate a proactive learning mindset and willingness to take on new challenges
Skills & Proficiencies
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 02 years of experience
- Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering fundamentals (e.g., strength of materials, theory of machines, heat transfer)
- Basic knowledge of design principles, engineering drawings, and tolerancing
- Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks
- Strong learning agility, curiosity, and willingness to develop new skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
