Key Responsibilities

Aruba Central

  • Support onboarding of Access Points and switches in Aruba Central.
  • Perform basic configuration tasks such as group creation, SSID updates, firmware compliance checks, and template-based configuration assistance.

Aruba Controller (Mobility Controller)

  • Assist in adding APs, verifying AP registration, checking licensing, and performing configuration tasks.
  • Support basic WLAN profile changes and AP/controller connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Assist in configuration backup and preparing logs for escalation.

Access Points (AP / Instant AP / RAP / IAP Cluster)

  • Handle provisioning, onboarding, and basic configuration of APs and IAPs.
  • Support creation and modification of SSIDs, VLAN assignments, and security profiles.
  • Assist in deployment and troubleshooting of IAP clusters (cluster leader, preferred master, firmware alignment, etc.).
  • Validate AP power levels, channel assignments, and RF settings.

Wireless Security & Authentication

  • Basic understanding of 802.1X, PSK authentication, captive portal, and user access roles.
  • Support RADIUS/AAA configuration coordination with security teams.

RF & Site Support

  • Basic RF knowledge including channels, interference, coverage concepts, RSSI, and SNR.
