Role Overview :
Univest is looking for a highly driven AI/ML Engineer to build intelligent systems that power next-generation financial products. This role requires a strong problem-solving mindset, deep technical curiosity, and the ability to turn data into real product capabilities.
You will work on machine learning models, data pipelines, and AI-driven features that improve product intelligence, automation, and user experience. The role demands someone who is hands-on, self-driven, and capable of taking ideas from experimentation to production.
Key Responsibilities
Model Development Experimentation :
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for real-world product use cases.
- Work on predictive models, recommendation systems, classification, and behavioral analytics.
- Conduct rapid experimentation, model evaluation, and iterative improvement.
AI-Powered Product Features
- Build intelligent systems that enhance user insights, automation, and personalization.
- Translate product requirements into ML-driven solutions and scalable algorithms.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into core platform features.
Data Engineering Model Deployment
- Work with large datasets to build clean, scalable training pipelines.
- Implement model deployment and monitoring workflows in production environments.
- Optimize models for performance, accuracy, and scalability.
Research Continuous Learning
- Stay updated with the latest developments in AI, ML, and generative AI.
- Evaluate new techniques, frameworks, and models that can improve product capabilities.
- Contribute innovative ideas that drive data-driven product intelligence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, product, and data teams to define ML use cases.
- Collaborate on data architecture, feature engineering, and experimentation frameworks.
- Ensure seamless integration of ML models into the product ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- 2 - 3 years of experience in AI / Machine Learning development.
- Strong programming skills in Java/Python.
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling.
- Experience with data processing and feature engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to build and deploy ML models in real-world applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree from Tier-1 institutes (IIT, IIIT, BITS, NIT, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and production ML systems.
- Exposure to LLMs, NLP, or recommendation systems.
