Energy Market Analyst - Power

Job Description:

As an Analyst (I1B) in the Interconnection & Transmission team, you will support interconnection consulting engagements for clients across North American power markets. This role is focused on handson support for Interconnection Application (IA) preparation, submission, and tracking, as well as analytical support forgeneratorand load interconnection studies and transmission planning work.The Analyst role is ideal for earlycareer professionalsseekingto build strong technical foundations in interconnection processes, power system analysis, and consulting delivery within a collaborative team environment.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Support Interconnection Application (IA) activities, including preparation of application materials, data validation, and coordination of submissionsand addressing deficiencies

• Assistwith tracking IA milestones, study phases, schedules, and data requests, and helpmaintaininternal IA trackers and documentation.

• Perform entrylevel technical analyses to supportgeneratorand loadinterconnectionand transmission planning studies.

• Support power flow modeling and simulation efforts under guidance from senior team members.

• Assistin preparing client deliverables, including technical memoranda, reports, presentations, and data summaries.

• Coordinate with internal project teams to support IArelated consulting work across multiple client engagements.

• Stay current on interconnection rules, study processes, and regulatory developments across North American power markets.

• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and knowledgesharing initiatives.

MinimumQualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Management, ora relatedfield.

• 0-2 years of experience in the North American electric power sector or strong academic exposure to power systems, transmission, or interconnection topics.

• Familiarity with Interconnection Application (IA) processes, including generator or load interconnection requests, study phases, andrequireddata inputs.

• Basic understanding of transmission planning, power flow analysis, and grid operations concepts.

• Exposure to power system modeling tools (e.g.PSCAD,PSSE,PowerWorld, PSLF, TARA) through coursework, internships, or early professional experience.

• Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

PreferredSkills:

• Prior experience supporting Interconnection Application preparation, submission, or study coordination.

• Internship or entrylevel experience with utilities, system operators, renewable developers, consulting firms, or transmission providers.

• Coursework or handson experience related to power flow analysis, transmission systems, or grid integration of generation and load.

• Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, or basic data analysis tools.

• Interest in building a longterm career in interconnection, transmission planning, or power markets consulting.
