Role Overview
The position is responsible for driving sales of capital equipment and factory solutions to EMS companies in Chennai and Tamil Nadu. The role requires strong engagement with manufacturing units and a deep understanding of shop-floor operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop EMS clients in Chennai and surrounding regions
- Sell SMT equipment, assembly solutions, and automation systems
- Engage directly with plant operations, production, and engineering teams
- Conduct site visits and understand manufacturing workflows
- Provide customized solutions to improve productivity and yield
- Prepare and present technical proposals and quotations
- Handle contract negotiations and order finalization
- Collaborate with service teams for installation and commissioning
- Track customer feedback and support continuous improvement
- Build long-term relationships with key accounts
- Monitor regional market trends and competitor activities
- Meet assigned revenue and growth targets
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics/Mechanical preferred)
- 4–5 years of experience in EMS / manufacturing equipment sales
Technical Skills
- Hands-on understanding of SMT line operations
- Knowledge of electronics assembly and production processes
- Familiarity with factory automation and testing equipment
- Ability to understand customer technical requirements
- Proposal preparation and commercial negotiation skills
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills (English + Tamil preferred)
Good to Have
- Experience working with EMS companies like Dixon Technologies, SFO Technologies
- Exposure to automotive electronics manufacturing
