Employee Relations Specialist / HR Executive – Employee Relations

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and empathetic Employee Relations professional to manage workplace relationships, handle employee grievances, and ensure a positive and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between employees and management, fostering trust, fairness, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations

  • Build and maintain strong employee-employer relationships
  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful work culture
  • Partner with managers to address team dynamics and engagement challenges

Grievance Handling

  • Manage end-to-end grievance redressal processes
  • Investigate employee complaints with confidentiality and neutrality
  • Conduct interviews, gather evidence, and document findings
  • Recommend appropriate actions in line with company policies
  • Ensure timely resolution and follow-ups

Policy & Compliance

  • Interpret and implement HR policies and labor laws
  • Ensure disciplinary actions comply with company policies and legal standards
  • Support audits and compliance requirements

Conflict Resolution

  • Mediate conflicts between employees or between employees and management
  • Provide guidance to managers on handling sensitive employee issues
  • Facilitate fair and consistent decision-making

Employee Engagement

  • Support initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and retention
  • Analyze trends in grievances and suggest preventive measures
  • Conduct exit interviews and share actionable insights

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain records of employee cases and resolutions
  • Prepare reports on employee relations metrics and trends

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • MBA/PGDM in HR preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in grievance handling, disciplinary actions, or employee relations
  • Exposure to HRMS tools and case management systems
