Thirumalai Charity Trust (TCT) has been serving a community of over 150,000 people across 300 villages in Ranipet and Vellore districts of Tamil Nadu for more than five decades. The trust has developed a grassroots model of integrated healthcare services, supported by over 600 women volunteers and multipurpose assistants. These efforts focus on preventive health and wellness, addressing issues such as non-communicable diseases, women's and children's health, adolescent well-being, and substance abuse. The Thirumalai Mission Hospital in Ranipet acts as the central hub, delivering high-quality and affordable care to underserved rural populations. the hospital is expanding to 200 beds currently.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Emergency Medicine Physician located in Ranipet. The physician will provide urgent and emergency medical care, diagnose and treat critical conditions, and manage acute and life-threatening illnesses or injuries. Responsibilities will include delivering prompt and effective patient care, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, performing diagnostic tests, and ensuring seamless transition of care within the hospital system.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Emergency Services
- Proficiency in delivering urgent care and managing critical medical situations
- Strong background in general Medicine to support diverse emergency scenarios
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and make quick decisions
- MBBS MD degree with relevant specialization in Emergency Medicine or related fields
- Registered medical license to practice in India
- Compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior experience in rural or community healthcare settings is an advantage
