Key Responsibilities

Hardware Design & Development

Design and development of embedded hardware circuits for microcontroller- or microprocessor-based systems.

Select and integrate sensors, actuators, communication interfaces, and power components.

Design PCBs (schematics and layouts) using tools like Altium Designer, KiCad, or OrCAD.

Prototyping & Testing

Assemble and validate prototype boards and subsystems.

Perform board bring-up, hardware debugging, and functional testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.

Collaborate with firmware engineers for seamless hardwaresoftware integration.

Documentation & Compliance

Create and maintain hardware design documents, test reports, and BOMs.

Ensure designs meet relevant EMI/EMC, safety, and reliability standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams for smooth product development and deployment.

Support troubleshooting during pilot production and field trials.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.

Experience: 0-2 years of experience in embedded hardware design and testing.

Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (ARM, STM32, PIC, etc.).

Familiarity with communication protocols: UART, SPI, IC, CAN, RS-485.

Experience with PCB design and layout tools (Altium / KiCad / OrCAD).

Knowledge of power electronics basics (DC-DC converters, regulators, motor drivers).

Experience using lab instruments like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analyzers.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

Exposure to hardware development for robotics, IoT, or wearable devices.

Basic knowledge of firmware development in C/C++ for hardware testing.

Understanding of EMI/EMC compliance and design for manufacturability (DFM).

Familiarity with safety-critical or medical device hardware standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 60601).
