Select and integrate sensors, actuators, communication interfaces, and power components.
Design PCBs (schematics and layouts) using tools like Altium Designer, KiCad, or OrCAD.
Prototyping & Testing
Assemble and validate prototype boards and subsystems.
Perform board bring-up, hardware debugging, and functional testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.
Collaborate with firmware engineers for seamless hardwaresoftware integration.
Documentation & Compliance
Create and maintain hardware design documents, test reports, and BOMs.
Ensure designs meet relevant EMI/EMC, safety, and reliability standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams for smooth product development and deployment.
Support troubleshooting during pilot production and field trials.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in embedded hardware design and testing.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (ARM, STM32, PIC, etc.).
Familiarity with communication protocols: UART, SPI, IC, CAN, RS-485.
Experience with PCB design and layout tools (Altium / KiCad / OrCAD).
Knowledge of power electronics basics (DC-DC converters, regulators, motor drivers).
Experience using lab instruments like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
Exposure to hardware development for robotics, IoT, or wearable devices.
Basic knowledge of firmware development in C/C++ for hardware testing.
Understanding of EMI/EMC compliance and design for manufacturability (DFM).
Familiarity with safety-critical or medical device hardware standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 60601).
