Role

Contract/freelance engagement to design and build a hardware prototype from scratch. The scope covers end-to-end PCB design, component selection, firmware development, and delivering a working unit. The device is battery-powered with specific firmware constraints around boot time and seamless operation. A detailed technical spec will be shared on the call.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing PCBs and embedded hardware from scratch
• Strong firmware development skills in C/C++
• Experience with display integration and media playback chipsets
• Experience with battery-powered devices and low-power design
• Has shipped at least one real hardware product not just written code, built something physical that works
• Comfortable working independently with minimal hand-holding

Remote. Contract. Paid. Scope for a longer engagement if the prototype goes well.
