About the role
This role focuses on ensuring smooth and secure email delivery operations, maintaining domain/IP reputation, and resolving deliverability issues. You will work across Linux-based mail systems, diagnose SMTP and authentication problems, and support clients with best-practice implementations.
What you'll be responsible for
- Managing Linux environments, shell scripting tasks, DNS configurations, and MTA setups (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS, Google Postmaster, etc.).
- Investigating SMTP/SSL/TLS issues, resolving email deliverability or TechOps support tickets, and implementing email best practices for clients.
- Monitoring system queues, logs, and overall email delivery health; maintaining strong IP/Domain reputation using tools like SNDS, Postmaster Tools, MXToolbox, etc.
- Evaluating inbox placement, engagement metrics, delivery performance, bounce patterns, throttling, and delays; sharing recommendations and insights.
- Coordinating with ISPs for delisting/escalations, building strong ISP relationships, and documenting operational processes for internal compliance.
What you'd have
- 24 years of experience in email deliverability and best practices.
- Exposure to mail server environments such as PowerMTA, Postfix (Linux), SmarterMail (Windows), Postal API Server, etc.
- Strong understanding of email delivery end-to-end: IPs, DNS, SMTP, authentication, and email headers.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication skills for working with internal teams and clients.
- Qualification: B.Tech, MCA, BSc-IT/Computer Science.
