Job Description

Type: Full time, In Person

Location: Bangalore

Compensation (CTC): INR 25-30L (Including ESOPs)

Joining Date: January 2025

About the Role

We're catching lasers from space to build the optical highway to the cosmos.

Join us as an Electronics Engineer to design FPGA-based signal processing systems, laser driver circuits, and control electronics for multi-Gbps optical links. You'll work across high-speed digital systems, precision control loops, and ruggedized electronics for both ground stations and satellite payloads.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement FPGA-based signal processing for high-speed optical communication (1-10 Gbps data rates)
  • Develop VHDL/Verilog code for data encoding, modulation schemes (OOK, PPM, DPPM), and protocol implementation
  • Develop and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
  • Design PCBs with emphasis on signal integrity, impedance matching, and EMI/EMC for high-speed interfaces
  • Integrate electronics with optical and mechanical subsystems
  • Support field experiments, system bring-up, and on-site troubleshooting

Requirements

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or ECE
  • Expert-level proficiency in FPGA development (Xilinx/Intel/Lattice platforms)
  • Strong VHDL/Verilog programming for digital design and signal processing
  • Experience with high-speed digital design and SerDes/LVDS interfaces
  • Power electronics design: DC-DC converters, LDOs, current sources, laser drivers
  • High-speed PCB design with signal integrity and thermal management understanding
  • Proficiency with test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers
  • Knowledge of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, USB, CAN
  • Programming in Python/MATLAB for automation, simulation, and analysis
  • Hands-on soldering, debugging, and board bring-up skills
  • Ability to own an electronics subsystem end-to-end: design, build, test, deploy

Nice-to-Have

  • MATLAB/Simulink for control algorithm development and automatic code generation
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS, ThreadX)
  • Experience with embedded Linux (Debian) and ROS2
  • Knowledge of modulation schemes and forward error correction codes
  • DSP algorithm implementation on FPGAs

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to build electronics for next-generation space optical communication from scratch
  • World-class lab facilities and test equipment
  • Founding Engineer equity
