Electronic Technician

Job Description:

• Experience: 1 - 3 years
• Education: Diploma in ECE, EEE
• Should be able to communicate in English

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic understanding of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, sensors).
• Familiarity with tools such as multimeter, soldering iron, crimping tools, and screwdrivers.
• Ability to read simple wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Basic soldering and cable assembly skills.
• Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Understanding of ESD precautions and safe handling of electronic hardware.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet timelines.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and report entry.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform assembly of electronic hardware, PCB modules, wiring harnesses, and mechanical enclosures as per design documents.
• Conduct functional testing of hardware units using multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and test jigs.
• Quality Check activities, including inspection of PCB soldering, component placement, cable routing, and mechanical finishing.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic hardware issues such as loose connections, faulty components, or improper assembly.
• Record test results, defects, and observations in test reports or checklists.
• Assist in preparing, organizing, and maintaining test setups, tools, and equipment.
• Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety practices during assembly and testing.
• Collaborate with engineers to communicate defects and support rework activities.
• Assist in incoming inspection of components and materials when required.
